“What is apparent is that Mr. Hendee is being charged in a blatant attempt to silence his opinions, disregarding the rule of law — an utter abomination to the Bill of Rights,” Wiseley stated. “The fact that Mr. Hendee is facing a felony charge for sharing these types of political views online would have Joseph Stalin blushing.”
Rather than simply roll over, Mr. Hertzler waged a fight to vindicate not only his right to the freedom of speech and expression, but also the rights of fellow community members who face seemingly all-powerful government regulators that arbitrarily and abusively wield their authority.

Steven Schmidtke was issued a “No Trespass” by Bridgman Public Schools, barring him from attending his children’s sporting events and extracurricular activities. All without a hearing, opportunity to challenge the No Trespass, or even any factual basis stating the grounds for which it was issued.
