Defending Your Liberty.
As a Hillsdale County native, Daren Wiseley is thrilled to serve the community he grew up in. He has dedicated himself to being a champion for liberty, committed to defending the God-given rights of the individual, in a time when they are under assault more than ever. Mr. Wiseley is known for his passion and work ethic and brings a hard-hitting style to the courtroom.
Mr. Wiseley focuses his practice on criminal defense and constitutional/ civil rights litigation. He prides himself on going the extra mile for clients and being creative when necessary. He also understands the importance and inner workings of media relations - this knowledge and experience helps him better serve clients.
A recent case exemplified Mr. Wiseley's passion to be a warrior for the underdog. In State v. Chaskey, he fought an uphill battle when his client was wrongfully charged with felony eavesdropping, a statute rarely used, leaving little case precedent for guidance. Even though nearly everyone - including the media, community, and even other lawyers had counted him and his client out - he won a dismissal on his motion after oral argument.
Mr. Wiseley is currently being sought after throughout Michigan, having cases in six counties and both federal districts. The high demand forcing him to turn away clients almost daily. When he is not in the office defending liberty, Mr. Wiseley loves golfing with his grandfather, reading, pumping iron, and playing with his cat, Ovi.
